The Saints will Shine

Eternity is Sure

Compared to eternity, life on earth is a vapor or puff of smoke that disappears almost as quickly as it appears (Jas. 4:14). But the spirit of every living human being is eternal, and comes from God (Zec. 12:11), and all spirits will return to God for judgment either to eternal life or eternal damnation (Ecc. 12:7).
And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life. (Mt. 25:46 HCSB; also Jn. 3:36; 2Ths. 1:9-10; Rev. 14:9-11)
Physical death is not the end; it is the beginning of eternity—an eternity of life of fellowship with God in Paradise (Rev. 2:7; 21:1-4), or an eternity of suffering away from the presence of God (Mt. 25:41; Rev. 20:13-15).
Sin is the cause of eternal damnation; Christ Jesus is the cure. He is the way to eternal life (Jn. 14:6), which He secured through His blood, for all those who would believe in Him. The time is short, and He is coming soon to sit on His throne on earth as Judge and King (Mt. 25:31-46). God is not willing that any should perish but that all come to repentance (2Pet. 3:9), and as a result enter into eternal life. None of us is promised tomorrow (Pro. 21:7), and eternity is a long time to burn.

Therefore, today is the day of salvation (2Cor. 6:2), and while it is today, repent of your sins, confess Jesus as Lord and Savior, and ask Him to sit on the throne of your life and fill you with His Spirit, and you will be saved (Rom. 10:9-10; Acts 2:38; Lk. 11:13). The choice is yours. God will not make it for you, or force you to receive Him. Eternity is sure, where will you spend it?
